I really don't understand why they didn't adopt this rifle for the US military. To me, it's like the US military makes only wrong decisions when it comes to weapons procurement. I mean, this weapon was a much better design than the AR-15. It was very accurate during trials and, more importantly, it was much more rugged and reliable. I really don't understand why they chose to get stuck with the AR-15. Which also killed a lot of soldiers with its jamming problems in Vietnam.

I worked in a gun shop in the mid 1980's and bought one of these still in the original box for $300 I also bought a H&K 91 with 10 mags and a case of ammo for $400 from the same guy. sadly I don't have either one now!

As I'm watching this, I'm holding my new, Sterling made, AR-180. What a cool rifle and a neat chapter in American weaponry. I can't wait to shoot this thing! :-)
