  • I always thought you built the car...thats just from seeing you around nasioc, years back. sweet shit dude

  • @kawikid20o2 Yeah, I really would have liked to do the work myself. The suspension bits and some of the other work I've done. I find myself too busy to delve into such a heady project, especially since I bought a fixer upper of a house. Met another guy on the forum recently. His car has been offline for like 4 years, but it's finally running. I couldn't do that with my daily driver. I am thinking about eventually picking up a dedicated project car. Maybe a lifted GL. :-)

  • Which shop in Seattle did you have do this? I would like to do this, I love the 2nd Gen LGTs! How fast does this car go from 0-60? A video of that would be sweet!

  • @parsley0120 Pacific Import Auto. Great folks to work with. I have a Cobb Accessport, and TurboXS 4" exhaust. Essentially a stage 2 tune. 283whp. I figure I am am under 5 seconds as far as 0-60.

  • Hmm! Interesting with the heads-up display. What's it displaying?

  • Hello, the display shows rpm, speed, and has a shift light. It also shows warnings for EGT, OIL temperatures and I can program the warning limits. The whole system is a Defi display/computer setup.

  • i dont know why but my 96 gt drives weird as if torque was being constantly rotated between wheels for no reason. its like the awd system is out of sync or something. doesn't affect performance just creates uncertainty.

  • ok cuz thats what i thought i would need to do. with mine. maybe we'll have to race when i get done with it.

  • Yes, the rear diff is a R180 from a STI. The Legacy is a R160. In order to use the STI rear Brembo brakes and the transmission, I needed to swap it. As with any of these Subaru swaps, the most difficult part is the electrical wiring. Which is why I paid a trusted shop to do the transformation.

  • sweet car man.

im in the middle of putting a EJ255 in my 99 2.5GT did you have to swap out the rear diff. with the tranny? cuz i thing the gearing is different in the legacy from the WRX/STI also did you build the engine up or is a stock EJ257? also what was the biggest problem you ran into?
