Me playing this hauntingly beautiful piece that accompanies the equally striking and memorable scene in the last Harry Potter movie. Statues come to life to protect Hogwarts from the dark forces, and wizards cast spells to build a forcefield around Hogwarts. I was so impressed and in awe of this particular scene and music that I went home after watching the excellent Deathly Hallows Part 2, and I learnt the music by ear within an hour or so.

Originally composed by Alexandre Desplat, this is my own piano arrangement by ear. I try to combine seperate melody lines and attempt flute flourishes that appear in the original orchestral version.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for listening :)

  • I love you man.No homo.Thank you for playing this, I have no words to describe what this series meant to me, how epic the scene is, how this song gets me chills and every time I hear it, how I see the Hogwarts students getting ready for the final battle. This piece marks every hope and dream, all fears and anticipation for the final battle, the epilogue of our generation.
