Land of the Lost 1991 - Life's a Beach pt 3

The Porter family, Tom, Kevin, and Annie get sucked into a prehistoric alternative world while taking a family vacation. The Porters build a tree house, hook up with a few locals, Tasha- orphaned, extra smart dinosaur, Stink-monkey man, and Christa-another human who has lived in the Land of the Lost since she was a little girl. The Porters must deal with living with dinosaurs and avoiding the evil advanced Sleestaks.

Oh my gracious, I loved this show so much as a little girl and this was my favorite episode. You've made my day.

I think what I liked most about this one was how sweet Namaki and Christa's friendship was. It makes my heart melt.

I don't think I like this version. This episode was very weak. Nothing interesting in it at all. I like the closed-prehistoric-universe idea from the 70s version better. Here, the land doesn't even seem lost. Just seems like some tropical island somewhere. I also don't like the cheesy, after-school, Bill & Ted kinda presence about this. At least, Sid & Morty Kroft knew their budget was limited. This version just seems to be in denial. Love the intro theme, though.
