Why this civic goes to 210 and the Honda accord goes to 230 easily with the same power?

it goes over 210, but it takes a while. it is only a diesel, not a V8 driving machine :-)

yes it can goes beyond 230 easily but honda had made something changes b/t accord and civic...

my honda civic type s 2.2 i.cdti 140 cv runs 235km/h

I've got also a FK3 civic... Full speed it's 217 on the speedometer. It means, you're right, 205km/h real speed. It's not fast as hell but accelerates quite well 0-100 in a bit less than 9s.

Until 140km/h, I can smoke a bmw 318d but otherwise, it's a bit crappy in high speed.

I will install a chiptuning to raise it up a little (but it does not increase top speed). I hope it will get better.

Actually you never had 210km/h...the top speed of this car is in fact 205km/h. So I believe that's fast. And the guy with the Accord..230?!Wow..I would ask him how come an Accord i-CTDI couldn't beat me on highway in a POfSht Toyota 2.0VVT-i with 212km/h?And I know he tried for a few kilometers...
