The Danish Dixieland jazz band - Riverside City Band -- is playing the tune - Wabash Blues composed by Fred Meinken and words by Dave Ringle. Was the first success for pianist, saxophonist and song composer Isham Jones (1894-1956). Recorded in 1921 by Isham Jones and his Orchestra, this million-seller stayed twelve weeks in the U.S. charts, six at No. 1.

The Musicians in Riverside City Band:
Peter "Laffe" Christensen, trumpet -- Knud Schwaner, trombone - Erland Larsen, alto & soprano sax/leader -- Tom Nissen, banjo/vocal -- Povl Erik Philipsen, double bass and Per Andersson, drums. As soloist we have the Danish clarinettist Erik "Krølle" Andersen from the Papa Bue's Viking Jazz Band.
Riverside City Jazz Band is a well established professional jazz band and the members are musicians with a lot of experience playing jazz. The band plays traditional New Orleans and Dixieland jazz.
Riverside City Jazz Band is situated in Odense, Denmark and was founded in 1978.
