I bet she's glad that she had a chance to talk to MJ before he died. And, probably , like everyone else, couldn't believe it when he died. You know how some of the last people who were some of the last people to talk to the now deceased say, "I just talked to him/her the other day!" It's always such a shock and unbelievable.

Whoopi is a comedy icon known around the world. Here in the UK she's very famous. Her movies "Ghost", "Sister Act", "Color Purple" are iconic films. She's an oscar winner. She's so much bigger than the other women on the view.
