well zeps drummer died, you can`t really compare.

John bonham died, thats why they quit.Bonham was irreplacable.
If Neil, Geddy or Alex would die they would quit to, because how on earth can you replace one of these 3 memebers.
And musically, Led Zeppelin grew up on another kind of rock , while rush grew up on Led Zeppelin. Both influenced by blues, but still Both another kind of rock.

No. I want to strangle them too. Im an 11 year old girl and love this stuff

Am I the only one that wishes to go back in time to strangle the cameraman for basically making Neil non-existent in the video???

To Bughead3...well put my man. Most of these dickheads race to put down "something" having not actually read what another has typed.....it's part of the charm of Youtube...at least this is what I tell myself...for to think any other way is just too damn depressing!

I too appreciate the civil response. I wish all commenters were this civil haha. But you do make a good point, he has relaxed quite a bit, but then again they all have been rockin' the stage for a few decades now, I can't expect them to go at that pace forever...though it would be nice!

I appreciate your civil response, given the fact that I was being purposely provocative. My favorite Rush albums are All the World's a Stage, Permanent Waves, and Snakes and Arrows Live. That should tell you all you need to know about my opinion of Rush. Clearly, as Neil has been getting into jazz, he's relaxed quite a bit with respect to playing everything like a super drum machine, and I do appreciate that!

I didn't think Rush had that period, you had to change with the times, the 60's and 70's were tough on bands, i think every band had to conform a little to keep up and stay on the scene. but thats just me. if u don't think any of them can make it in a jam session, then i don't think u've heard Neil Peart "jam" Rush's sales place them third behind beatles & the rolling stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band...so i think they could hold their own in a "jam"
-
If you want to hear the blueprint for Rush before they had their total wimpout conformist period in the most forgettable decade in popular music history, then listen to Physical Graffiti and know this: Rush are outstanding, very talented musicians, but none of them would make it at the Sunday night blues jam. I appreciate the intricacy of their music quite a bit, but they can't jam to save their lives! I challenge anyone to post a video that proves me wrong.

That's just hilarious! Perhaps there are times in which being a complete ass is the only appropriate thing to do...

People felt the need to tell me that John Rutsey was the original drummer for RUSH. Instead of being a complete ass and saying "no shit", I replied that I always thought that Ringo Starr was the original drummer for RUSH. The ridiculousness of this comment shouldn't need explanation, but that didn't keep a new slew of dimwits telling me in fact that Ringo Starr was actually the drummer for The Beatles not RUSH.Yes, McCartney wasn't the bass player for RUSH. It was Roger Waters.
