Make sure you watch in 720p/1080p if you can

Just a quick test video I made with my new 7D,
I've added Magic Bullet Looks to give the colours a dreamy tone
All slow motion effects were done using After Effects using TimeWarp and not the camera.

However the camera does have slow motion playback and a 60fps mode if you shoot in 720p which allows to get slow smooth frames

A Depth of Field test will be coming soon :)

  • I have the 7d but when I shoot, my footage comes out nothing like this. I wanted to know the best possible settings for the 7d right out the box with the 28-135 lens. my videos come out bland. is it the way i'm shooting or do I not have the right settings on my camera

  • @devang23 What effect are you trying to get ? Because alot of the effects in this video are done in post production such as slow mo, colour correction & reverse play

  • Impressed with the 1080p video quality of the Canon 7D. How would you say it compares with the 600D?

Good video, very smooth slo-mo effect too with the sepia tint!

  • @SMiThaYe

Thanks Alot I Really Do Appreciate It :),

As For A Comparison Against The 600D I Wouldn't Like To Say Because I Haven't Seen The 600D in Action But I Have Heard Good Things About It

  • @1:00 you can see the people watching the person film. I love this camera!!

  • @Olboyhustla 7D cant film in slow motion. But it has HD recording at a whopping 60fps. Use twixtor for slowing down videos. It will look great.

  • Bought a 7D yesterday. Im enjoying. Great cam.

  • @devang23 Use Twixtor for AE for slowing down or speeding videos...

  • @devang23 Use After effects for color correction & all other effects. Film magic pro presets are great in AE. Use neat video to reduce noise. Then ur video will look great provided u shoot well.

  • Cool vid. One question, can you film with the 7D in slow mo, ( and how did you do it) or did you slow it down in the edit? Thanx

  • what is the music name?
