Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, a professor at Stanford University, testified as an expert education witness at the public education funding adequacy lawsuit, Lobato vs. State of Colorado. She spoke outside the courtroom in Denver with the Colorado Education Association about the necessity for the lawsuit, education subjects she expected to speak about on the witness stand, and the research showing increased spending and lower class size are critical for student growth and achievement in public schools. She ended with a message for CEA members about the need for them to be involved in educating the public about the teaching profession.
