Actually the last 8 years weren't all the bad. The country was kept safe and we had steady economic growth with lower taxes. Things really only started going bad when the Dems took control in 06. Go figures. Now 11 months into Obama's term the Govt is out of control and the US is in a very dangerous position. Looks like Sarah Palin was right after all.
