I don't think anyone is making an issue of it. It's just friendly interest in who people are and what makes them tick. Sexuality is just part of people's personality - it's natural to be interested in it, without it being a big deal.
People are interested because they want to know about who Bob is, and also because they want to know where Artie's interest came from.
As professionals, it doesn't matter. But reality TV is all about personalities.
