It's pretty obvious that they worked more on the console version than on the PC one....and trust me...noone is puting the shadows off....im currently playing this game and I imediatly observed the lack of shadows in most of the game areas.Pretty sad thing :(

Man, I didn't know the Fear 2 I just played sucked as much as this. I felt some graphics were better but felt something was missing.
This game was so dumbed down and made stupid, I think I'll give it to my friend and let him play it, he likes brain dead shooters.

Agree , i've liked the earlier pc version , they will misc the shadows of earlier versions with the fear 2 final version.

Other thing , the pc version wich's graphics have? minimum? or what , btw i've liked some features that had the earlier version will be included in the final version , but thats ok , is an great game.

You can't compare and early version with a final version , that isn't a real comparation. the final ps3 or xbox360 version looks such as PC version.

the thing that pissed me off the most was the slowmo physics....much better in the first game . i miss the old "everything has a shadow" ... not to mention the soft shadows....and the kick as particle effects. fear 1 for pc looks way better

I liked the first FEAR's graphics better than FEAR 2. The quality of the video for the early console version is dreadful.

acullay they worked on the shadows of the pc's too but for that you need to update to new patch and belive me fdx 10 (pc) is better than dx9 (consoles)

This is the normal version(without update), update FEAR 2 with the patch 1.4 for the dynamic shadows, better ragdoll and AI.
In pc with the patch 1.4 and the maxed out settings... PC pwns console.

@PPRUVIAN There no such update. 1.4 does not add dynamic shadows. Video or it didnt happen

Just because you go into your PC and turn the Shadows off doesn't mean the Graphics aren't better, I mean just look at the differences lol.

@PCGamerProDude sure Pc is by miles better than xbox or ps3. But all of the versions lack of dynamic shadows...but for some reason an early version of the game had tons of shadows.
