  • ANY horse can jump. The proper questions are: can (s)he jump correctly, safely, with a rider. Is the conformation such that the horse will not damage legs, spine, hips? Is the rider sufficiently capable of staying out of the horses way, not upsetting balance or timing.

NEVER jump a gaited horse with anything other than after at least one year progressive schooling with naturally balanced feet, to allow the muscles and ligaments time to strengthen and realign for their new job.

  • my Walker is a jumper too. i dont have a video of us jumping, but i do have a ton of pics. he is the smoothest jumper i have ever been on! this horse proves that Walkers can do more than just gait & i love that!

  • great my walkers a hunter horse now and that is such a damn lie u don't have to do that stupid shit walkers have great knees and very good balence i hate ppl who say they don't..i mean really? I've had a paint fall on me in a turn when i do the same with my walker and nothing happens this horse is amazing!!!

  • how did u actually teach ur TNW to jump

  • @SurprizedDaily I rode a TWH before but i don't want to own one=] I like stock horses better and while i can still enjoy them at my young age LOL.

  • What most don't know is, where TWH's came from ...the Tennessee Walking Horse is a composition of Narragansett and Canadian Pacer, Standardbred, Thoroughbred, Morgan, and American Saddlebred stock. Originally bred as a utility horse. Once you ride a TWH, you'll be looking to own one, guaranteed! Keep showing all these folks what TWH's can & will freely & willingly do! 2 thumbs up ....

  • haha woww some pretty long distances there..

  • My mom own's a TWH mare direct daughter of Jose Jose. She can free jump 4''5. :D

  • I jump & do speed on my walker

  • You should slow him/her? down before approaching the jump. Every single one of your jumps was dangerously long and could have caused both of you some damage if you had gotten a hair longer. Work on slowing him down or shortening his stride before the jump for your safety.

  • @number3never4

Yes They Can, I have a Gaited Pony (Check her out on my channel. And she loves to Gallop, our favorite is Galloping across open feelds and darting around Tumble Weeds at break neck speeds.

  • Walkers are GREAT jumpers... I learned to jump my highest on a STUBBORN walking horse.. but I ride western so I taught myself and two other horses to jump. now they are great jumpers:)
