Injecting a sour note in the improving bilateral ties, China has protested against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh evoking a dismissive reaction from India which asserted that the PM has a right to visit any part of the country. India reacted to the Chinese objection, saying the comments were disappointing as Arunachal Pradesh was an inalienable part of the country. Moreover, such remarks did not help the ongoing process of talks on the boundary issue, it added.
