This exercise can be used as your main lift on dynamic-effort lower body day. Perform 5-8 sets of 3-6 jumps each leg. (Advanced athletes can wear a light weighted vest or hold light DB's.)

  • yeah this isn't a strictly plyometric exercise. The point isn't to get that CNS reaction you get from something like depth jumps, it's just to lift fast. It's the same thing as doing dynamic box squats or speed pulls for deads.

  • How would you decide between these and jump lunges?
