Are you interested in taking the MSF course (motorcycle safety foundation) to learn how to ride? Most types of classes will present you with a waiver if you pass. The waiver allows you to be exempt from having to pass the riding part of the drivers test when you go to get your Class M endorsement on your drivers license. All you need to do is pay the fee for the license.

I take you to the course so you can see what it will look like, and go over a few of the tests. I manage to fail pretty hardcore on a few spots, and decide to eject myself from the course!

  • can you explain what your doing with the clutch on the figure 8?

  • @tjohalloran1994 your bike is very torquey in first gear. So you are constantly having to go in and out of the friction zone with your clutch while maintain stability and balance at the same time.

  • Are the MSF classes different in each state?

  • @rgtrooper13 in the US it should be the exact same course. The only difference might be if you have a larger course. But it will still be the same tests.

  • @iamramekin do they teach you everything??? like from shifting gears or do they expect you to know most of that simple stuff

  • @acefadi6969 yes, they teach you shifting gears and about the friction zone, etc. They assume you know nothing about bikes. The first class is very beginner.

  • good job!!!!

  • On any bike with a higher Center of Gravity, it's easier to do the u turn with a little more speed. It allows you to lean the bike over more for a sharper turn. Higher inertia force. Lots of good advice for people leaving the MSF BRC over at the beginnerbikers forum

  • @tjohalloran1994 when doing the figure of 8 by using the clutch allows you to control your speed alot easier because its a a very low speed and revs are low. using the clutch allows you to go slower and turn tighter without staling bucause your covering the clutch using the back brake also makes it more controllable.

  • @iamramekin I noticed you saying that you can't use the brake for the figure 8. That makes it actually pretty hard! When I had to a figure 8 at a training course in Canada, they taught us to rev high in first gear (to not stall out), while in the friction zone, and use solely the rear brake to control your speed.

  • @Acronexuz written test complete and msf course is all you needto get your licence

  • So you take the written test first at the DMV? Then you take the msf class and it waives you the license? I'm confused...

  • Thanks for the vid. i am taking my msf course in the spring. my class is three days 5-10pm then 8-5ish the next two days, in michigan.

  • @acefadi6969 prior to the MSF class I had never been on a motorcycle
