I just bought this DVD today (along with Jesus of Nazareth), and just finished watching the first half. When Moses comes back after seeing God, it's such a powerful scene! The look on his face. Such a good actor.... I really enjoyed him in Ben Hur too (one of the best films in my opinion).

And the music in King of Kings is amazing too. The part where Jesus is preaching in front of thousands, and one of them ask "How shall we pray?" and Jesus goes on to say the Our Father prayer is so emotional! The music's so POWERFUL! I think I'll also check out The Bible in the Beginning. 8)

Sweet, about time Ben Hur gets a blu ray release! I just finished watching King of Kings and... I was a bit disappointed actually. There was just two BIG problems for me. For one, it's not historically accurate... For example, we didn't see the Pharisees at all! THEY were the ones that wanted to kill Jesus (not the Romans) but I get a feeling this was to be more of a family/kids film so it's easier to watch. I didn't really enjoy the actors either, but Mary (mother) was GREAT (she's beautiful).
