During the last months I've been working on a 2-wheel balancing robot (also named inverted pendulum). In the meantime you can find a number of similar constructions in the world-wide-web. Most of them are constructions built from self-made parts. Very few use Lego mindstorms parts. I believe that here the first one is described for which fischertechnik components were used. Due to its artistic balancing act I have named this robot ARTIST. You may watch a few videos for demonstration here. See my web site: http://home.arcor.de/uffmann/ARTIST.htm

  • Hi. What motors did you use? (rpm, v, torque, gear ratio...or a part model number would do). Thanks.

  • The motors are fischertechnik dc gear motors with gear ratio 8:1 from the Power Motor Set part no. 34965. They can also be ordered as single parts, part no. 35481, from Knobloch GmbH. The original manufacturer is Igarashi, part no. are:

    33G / N2738-XXX-XXXX

    1:8 132-0008

    1:20 -0020

    1:50 -0050
