A lot of other people have made lists like this, so I decided I should do one as well, especially since the lists I had looked at lacked a few I wanted to include.

(Alt + 130)=é

BBC Article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/671601.stm

Also, the games I used for my intro have no meaning whatsoever.

  • Oh God. I hated the doppelganger cliche in games. Sure, it worked with Super Mario Sunshine, since they did look exactly the same, but with Shadow and Sonic, they look nothing alike. What? Is there only 1 hedgehog in the entire world or something?

  • @Ryanmiller70 You actually kind of brought up a somewhat valid point unintentionally. Since I assume that there are a few hedgehogs that actually talk and walk on two legs, I guess there's some room for error. But seriously, Sonic, the blue savior of Station Square, changing his colors and robbing a bank?

  • Luigis a pimp

  • @tubster105 Quite.

  • where the hell is arrow to the knee?

  • @Liam44471 This was released before Skyrim and arrow to the knee gained momentum. I can't tell the future.

  • @ Nanabobo they did exclude the low health beeping in more recent pokémon games. The low health noise has now been remixed to it's own little song in Black and White version

  • A lot of these aren't cliches. Running in place, beeping at low health, and bad AI are just straight up flaws or results of technical/ time limitations. Things like repeating enemies and themes are just a matter of degree, and in actuality repetition itself is a core concept of design that will obviously be bad if improperly balanced. Lastly, space is too broad and that's like saying that oceans are a cliche.

On another note, keep your volume consistent, your voice is quiet. Otherwise gj

  • In saying that cliches become bad over time does that mean these particular top tens will also become bad over time?

  • To be fair, Pokemon fixed the annoying beeping while staying true to its origins in the newest games- they replaced the beeping with a "time's up" type remix of the theme, with the beeping integrated into the melody.

    Zelda, on the other hand...

  • @ ThumderTheHedgehog21: they do come often ( the shadow clones from Super Mario Galaxy 2 )

  • Did you know some GC controllers have a "turbo" function that repeatedly presses the button while you hold it? (Like the turbo controllers from the NES Era.)

  • Another game where regenerating health makes sense is inFamous because his body heals faster with his powers, but that doesn't explain why Kesslers health doesn't regenerate

  • I don't care what you think, musical continuity is amazing. But continuity in and of itself is a debatable subject. I've heard some people say they don't want any kind of continuity (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, MOFFAT!) so I guess it's understandable that people also don't like it in music. I myself love it.

  • @GeekHippieEndarkened I wish they made some kind of 3DS port...SHUT UP AND TAKE MY FUCKING MO-oh and here you go aaannd ah cool here is the port :D

  • @iceman78772 Me too. Wario World's one of my favorite games I have for the GameCube.
