Portable Church Case Study 03 explores the multi-site church model. This time we're off to Canada to visit with our friends at Connexus Community Church with locations in Barrie, Orillia, and Muskoka, Ontario.
The team explores how Portable Church played a critical role in helped Connexus launch two campuses within one week of each other. Connexus is truly positioned to grow with the Barrie and Orillia locations meeting in movie theaters and their new Muskoka location meeting at Bracebridge and Muskoka Secondary School.
Church as a brand. LOL. Interesting but they seem to the church out of the church. They take the community out of the church. No pastor who knows his flock and then preaches sermons based on the people he is the under shepard. One sermon fits all LOL.

It's extremely disheartening to hear followers of Jesus talk about "church" in business terms. Don't you think people aren't able to see how shalllow and vapid the use of a business model is rather than the traditional way of making disciples, that is, praying for the lost as the MAIN work of a disciple?

what's the big deal about...worship services? Preaching, singing, babysitting kids...etc. Seems like a lot of runnin' around for what could actually happen much more simply, and leave more time to actually DO the work of the Lord. Comments?
