I recently upgraded to Qwest 7mbps and my speeds were worse than yours. One point the download speed was only 0.30 mbps but the techs came to my house and did some repairs and now I'm at 6.20 mbps.

NO. You are wrong. Download speeds are advertised in megabits/kilobits while your download progress bar shows measurements in megabytes/kilobytes.
For example an 8 megaBIT download speed will give you a 1 MegaBYTE download reading. 8 bits are in a 1 byte.
8megabits IS 1 megabyte.
My download speed is 40mb/ sec which is 5MB/sec. Learn the difference so you don't make yourself look like a fool.

Ok , I will shed light on some simple truths about internet for you the masses. Internet bandwidths work like this. 1) you download speeds will always be about 1/10th of your subscribed bandwidth. 2) if you are doing a speedtest at a speedtest site that is not your providers - you are an idiot. 3) the speedtest will always be approximately 15% less then you provisioned rates due to a thing called OVERHEAD - that is the cost to send your data to and from on the internet. Knowledge is power.

Then y don't you upgrade it to 7mbps instead of 1.5mbps dumbass? Qwest is perfectly fine.
