BioDigest: Biotechnology and Education

Science education has become increasingly important in the United States, and biotechnology has been starting to find its way into the classroom. Each year, the Biotechnology Institute brings together a number of high school students who have excelled in the field of biotechnology. These high school students present projects as part of the Institute's Annual Conference on Biotechnology Education. Students and teachers are honored for their achievements in front of nearly 3,000 members of the life science community during the BIO International Convention. After meeting with some of these teachers and students, it is evident that the future of the life sciences industry is in very knowledgeable and capable hands.
