Optic trig Lindemann Rotary Attraction Motor of sorts. #2

This is just a mock up to see how well this motor will run.. It's a Modified RC car motor. I gutted of all windings and magnets and brushes, and trimmed the rotor width to about equal that of the rod diameter of my electro magnet.. I'm using a IR optical style trigger running a set of 1amp power transistors to run a relay to fire the coil.. When the relay opens the circuit to the source, the reverse EMF is dumpped into a 1 Farad 16v cap and so far off of a 7.2 (actually starting off around 8.3) Volt source, I've charged the Cap to over 15 volts.. Running the motor strictly off the charged cap while collecting reverse EMF, the motor will run for a little more than 26 seconds.. It's not very efficient just yet.. but will runn off a 1500 mah 7.2V battery for about a day so far. I plan on upgrading to a larger platform that will be more efficient using a 555 timer in monostable mode to crop the duty cycle to tune it for optimal charging vs consumption.. Hopefully..
