You should see how Svetlana Zakharova does it. 100% better!

I had not heard the version of the music at 6:10.
What is it and why did they change it?
-
Well, they dance divinely (who does better barrel turns than José, who does better double fouettée better than Paloma?), but really, couldn't they find something to put on the stage to cheer up the grim atmosphere? How about a curtain from Bed, Bath and Beyond, some shoji screens to divide the space a little, and that grey scrim upstage, blecch!

Medora's variation music is different than most variations i have seen. Why is that? P.S. She is freaking amazing
-
Doesn't have as good a line as baryshnikov, but very strong supple legs - a very solid performance..

I've become a fan of Herrera from seeing her videos....remarkable athleticism and grace! Both are great in these variations. I learned to appreciate ballet when dating a dancer in 1951.

paloma jose POWER DUO

AND the choreography for Paloma's variotions looks exactly like the Ganzatti variation from la Bayadere except with different music and excluding the final 4 eights. I stood next to him at barre today. And I've seen Paloma in class enough to know that she can turn just as well without a partner, really, it's amazing.

what the hell the female variation music is for the paquita male variation
-
This may be a stupid question, but why is the girl's variation in corsaire always to a different song?
ps Jose is one of the most beautiful people on earth.
AHHH!! Two reasons why ABT is great. What a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing this.
