here's some more music i recorded in late 2008 in Graz/Austria on my new "Benjamin #77". Tuning is DADGAD with some inspiration from Ireland. it's great fun to play with the scratchboard, didn't have that on my other
guitars. enjoy!

  • @alexkabasser Where did you get that scratchboard from/what's it made out of? I'm trying to make one for my guitar but can't seem to get the right sound. So far I've just got a thin piece of wood, scratched up the surface with metal files n dug groves into it. It doesn't make a particularly loud or scratchy sound though. Any help would be much appreciated. Fantastic guitar playing, keep up the good work :)

  • @maverick040690 scratchboard was built by nick benjamin (luthier of #77) don't know what wood that is, on my other guitar i use some spruce! anyway, hard wood is better for this purpose, greets

  • Even if you had tabs, I wouldn't dare looking at them..

  • @DahlbergAdam hahaha, start slow, u can do it !

  • I can't tell if this sounds more Irish or S. African.

Either way, your last name should be KaBADASSer, cause its killer. Listened to your CD on Rhapsody. Very good stuff.

  • Just when you thought things couldn't get any more complicated! Thanks for a novel and terrific performance!

  • That's really an Irish Statement! Like your perfection very much.....Thanks for sharing that, enjoyed it absolutly.......

  • @alexkabasser thanks for the advice man. Might try to make one with a bit of spruce when I have a moment.

  • bad. ass.

  • Do you think an electric acoustic with a piezo pickup could pick up the sound of that sandpaper scratching as well as your guitar does? An amazing song by the way, my personal favourite of yours.

  • absolutely awesome! I´m so glad I could see you performing @Posthof Linz yesterday
