I like Marilyn Manson's version better.

Harley is one of the very few ppl that hang around the Joker that live to tell the tale. Just the fact that he hasn't killed her shows a certain affection. They have a real d/s relationship. He cares for her as much as apsycopath can. She humanizes him in a way.

Harley doesn't take all the abuse. She can actually give back as good as she gets, including (but not limited to) kicking Joker in the face, pointing a gun at his head and pulling the trigger (it turned out to be a fake gun but she thought it was real), beating him with a night stick while he was in handcuffs, and attacking him in general when she's angry. So while she's generally not as horrible to him as he is to her, she's also not a punching bag who just takes it.

Well, Joker isn't really capable of regular "love." He's too twisted. But I past the madness and insanity, I feel that deep down he loves her, as much as he's capable of loving her at least. The creators have said as much, too. There was something in the comics once where the Joker tried to kill Harley because he was afraid of the feelings he was beginning to have towards her.

I think he does...he used to see her only as a tool in the beggining but he regretted it after he pushed her off the building
why else would he send a get well card to harley?
if i was the joker, i wouldn't risk pulling harley back to me, she might be seeking for some revenge :P
he probably missed her now that she was gone :)

I love the fact that you used my ruin's version, I think it works so much better cuz it's sang in female voice.
