Two rear wheel drive vehicles: All season VS Winter tires - Transport Canada, the Automobile Protection Agency (APA) and the Rubber Association of Canada (RAC), teamed up to create a series of videos that clearly demonstrate how winter tires drastically improve driver safety.

  • Actually a consumer protection group called APA paid for the demonstration. ( Automobile Protection Association)

  • Winter tires are reallt good. This is the first year I've owned a set (in 13 years of driving) and they really pay for themselves.

  • sure looks fudged to me too.. who payed for this demonstration anyway?? someone who probably sells tires.. remember we have to buy all four! just two wont do it.. i'm sure snow tires are a bit better under some circumstances than all seasons, but atleast do a fair, honest test.. lol

  • Looks like they fudged the results a bit. 1:31 Looks like the Merc spun his rear tires to loose traction.  In the straight-a-way test, the car with the all seasons would be traveling much faster to catch up to the car with the winter tires when they braked at the same time.

  • Now, show how much better all season are than regular tires
