The blocking process must be done only once or every time the knit is washed?

The fibers will only keep their shape until the next washing. So you reblock your knitting after every time you wash it.

What should you do with an acrylic/wool blend?

If it the blend is at least 50% wool, you can block it just like in the video. However, if it has at least 50% acrylic content, chances are that it will not block or if it does block, it won't stay in its shape for very long.

Yes! You can steam block acrylic yarn and it will stay blocked, even after washing.

You got it - Block the cowl flat and smooth it out on both sides to remove any puckering. And remember, if all else fails - you can always block it again :)

You can, but it often doesn't do much, because its a synthetic yarn. They address this at 1:10
