@12Toodles12 Their purpose is to put on a show, not to live up to or compare themselves to the original. The dancers/singers here are clearly passionate about (and talented at) what they do, so why berate them for whatever limitations they may have for having a small stage and not being a professional production?
I don't like this choreography at all. I honestly love the choreography in the movie and in earlier productions but when people make crap like this...why even try? I doubt that any choreography could be better than the original. And the amateur dancers and costumes make it even worse...Cats should be a show only professionals do, otherwise it's ruined.

i agree, an elementary school could do better than the US tour!! an inflateable set... really??? but this isn't good either! I HAVE YET TO SEE A GOOD HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION OF CATS...

Choreography should not be COPIED, if people wanted to see the choreography from the movie, then they could WATCH THE MOVIE! people want to see something original!! come on!!! if you can't choreograph your own choreography, then I'm sorry but your not ready for Cats...
:/ honestly, I don't think it matters if they use the movie/original choreography by Lynne. It's a fantastic musical, with fantastic music and dance, but a musical nonetheless, and I like the artistic freedom they took with this.
It was very well done, one of the best I've seen and everyone here is so enthusiastic, really professional in their attitudes :)
probably because the stage is to big to do most of the moves, and the music was to fast. i wish all the cats plays were more like the movie :( the movie cast should make a comback and do the show for the last time

I was Mungojerrie in our production. I must say, ours was AMAZING. Im not sure if we're even supposed to be putting these up on youtube because of the rights and all that, or else I would... but yeahh. Rumpleteazer and I did the double cartwheels and everything :) We definitely had one of the best CATs productions...even compared to those of colleges :)
you should have seen the coreography for our production (I wasn't in it and had nothing to do with it) It was terrible they barely danced at all XP and when they did lets say they obviously have never taken dance lessons before
our production is basing it upon the original broadway version, there's some from the movie and some of our own stuff too - if I can I'm posting it here and if you watch you'll recognize some moves.
This production was amazing though. I hope ours can be just as good :D
