LOVE LOVE LOVE this sweet ride. Have been following your Amtrak adventure across the US to locate your new road mate right here in our backyard! Am thrilled you were able to able to locate a vintage rig in such great shape. What a neat cabinet/door system!

Modify the fuel lines for biodiesel, because two stroke diesels are really dirty.

@millerjmichael We tried running biodiesel only with our first tow vehicle a few years ago, it's just simply not practical for full time travel. Way too difficult to locate, and many of the filling stations just aren't accessible to a bus. We plan to move far less than in our prior travels, and utilize more efficient local transit when we're parked.

Love, love, love all the storage! What kind of gas mileage will you be getting with the bus?
LoveRise 8 months ago
@LoveRise From talking with others with a similar engine & tranny set up, we're not expecting more than 6-7 mpg. Less than we used to get with our old truck & travel trailer set-up. However, we'll be traveling less miles, and having a better local area transit option (either a high efficiency vehicle to drive around instead of a big old truck or bikes/public transit). Overall, we expect better mileage than before as a result.
