@nyerndc no way! Stipe has more emotion is his voice than almost anyone, ever! Mike does great harmony parts, but without Michael's mumbles and emotion, R.E.M. just wouldnt be the same . . . and i'd go as far to say that had Mills been the lead singer, i wouldnt like R.E.M. . . . at least no where near as much as i do- Stipe is what REALLY makes it for me
