Today I will be showing you how to dual display an iMac to a secondary display very easily in a matter of seconds.
What you'll need:
- Mini Displayport to HDMI Adapter:

- HDMI Lead
And thats it!
Hope this helped :)

Monitor: Fujitsu Amilo XL 3220T

  • Problem here I got a VGA adaptor for my mac, but it duplicates my screen, and not expands it - any solution?

  • @Evilnils Go to System preferences > Displays > Arrangement and make sure the 'Mirror Displays' box on the bottom left isn't ticked.

  • I read some of the reviews on amazon. They say those Apple Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter last for a short time then die. Is yours still working?

  • @wastnTIMEwastnTIME Well, I've had mine for just over a year now and had no problems with it at all. Still working fine.

  • can you do this with a tv?

  • @you7tube24 I believe so, yes. As long as it has a HDMI.

  • Great product, haha i should start purchasing from Amazon. I purchased the exact same cord from London Drugs here in Canada for roughly $40 with taxes. Besides that its a great product, and when you get 2 monitors youll never go back to 1.

  • Thanks!

  • i have the new Mac 21.5 does this cable work for it?

  • lol his monitor looks like a gigantic iPad lol

  • zon

  • Could i connect my pc into the imac? Use it as a monitor

  • @mightymikey246 Thank god, got it solved - I had it expanded on my PC screen, but duplicated on my TV - Got it solved tho, Thanks.

  • @ibanez0830 I ended up buying a mini display port to HDMI cable instead of the adapter. It was about $16 but it looked like it would last longer than the adapters. It works great. The picture on my TV looks better than the picture on my MAC. I guess I have the "old mac" from a couple of years ago and can't get the sound to come out of my TV speakers. I tried the "audio in" to the TV and plugged the other end to the headphone jack of the Mac using an adapter. Works for my stereo but not the TV.
