Texas ranks 44th out of all the states in education funding per student. Perry has been governer for almost 11 years. If he cared, he would have done something by now.

I used to go to that school when I was in 5th grade when the school first opened.

If you don't find this hilarious, you either have no idea what is going on in education or you have no sense of humor! Go, Teachers!
-
It's very sad that some people have such a poor sense of humor! Lighten up guys. It was cute! And funny.
-
Huh, so that's what coerced hysterical laughter, and exuberant applause sounds like. I've always wondered.

I saw this on CNN this morning. Glad it's on here. I'm going to share it with my Facebook friends. : )

@RhymesWithRight Someone needs to lighten up!

Where oh Where were the teachers, principals last spring. We searched the world over, and they were in Austin, so for the students.....pff...they were gone.

Heather & Johncoby and others. It's painfully obvious in ongoing comments that one person has their panties all in a wad and wants to make a political statement of their own using evocative words like, "coerce, dictatorial regime, fascists, communists, indoctrinate, " etc. to apply to a SHORT skit that allowed teachers and administrators a chance to bond and vent their very valid frustrations in a FUN, repeat FUN, way. Here's a toast to humor!
This comment has received too many negative votes show
As this teacher sees it, there are four Sanger ISD administrators who need to be fired for taking a mandatory district event and turning it into a political rally against a candidate for public office, and then coercing their subordinates to join in their political speech.

@RhymesWithRight It was just for fun! Not meant to be a political statement :)

First verse and chorus:
There's bus transportation, school breakfast and lunches.
I asked Mr C, he said ‘That all is fine.’
He says he's quite sure that we can do all this…
as long as it don't cost this district a dime.
Where Rick Perry are you tonight?
Why did you leave us here all alone?
You promised us funding for all Texas children
But then you heard "White House"
and -- Pffft! --- You were gone!
