good idea but a water wheel would be far more simple

that is the loudest and most ineficient way to generate power from water.... Imagine what kind of vibrations it sends in to the watersorse....

It looks to be very inefficient and poorly made, especially with the generator exposed to splashing and rain.

I think its a great idea, and since you need a place for the waste water go to, why not use this device as a pool pump.

Great mechanics. just curious to know what head it operates and what is the efficiency when compared to Francis or Pelton wheel when having similar flow conditions...

Why not just put magnets on fly wheel and generate power from that. the flyweel

could be a big plywood disk.. I'm really impressed.

Great Idea.. I thought about that.. using a fly wheel to turn the flap valve on an off

But I never thought of getting extra energy to make electricity.. This is truly amazing.

use a chain drive for better efficiency. I want to send this to jack spirko of the survival podcast.
