The National Assembly for Wales's Health and Social Care Committee has launched an inquiry into residential care for older people and is calling for evidence from interested individuals and organisations.
Also you could consider the degree to which regulators and commissioners take action where staffing levels are of concern e.g where there are high numbers of service users with dementia in a social rather than nursing care setting, with comparison of funding levels for residents between different homes.
Well done. Please can you consider how views of service users and their representatives are collated, gathered and reported on at Inspection. If views are sought by the registered persons of the care home e.g. if registered persons distribute consultation forms, it is inevitable that they have a vested interest in positive feedback. Views of stakeholders may not be selected by the Inspector. This could lead to a false picture being presented of the registered service.
