Modern technology has killed real art, and nobody can tell a fake from the original, believes Russian ballet dancer Nikolay Tsiskaridze. What you cant falsify, though, is dance, says the renowned Bolshoi leading man.

  • Well, for a Mr Dash it would be a huge ego, for a Nikolaï Tsiskaridze, it is merely no false modesty... He takes it simply, another way of taking it well is, at the opposite, that of Arthur Rubinstein ("I am not good enough to do false modesty"), usually talentful artists keep asserting they are not so good (and think exactly the contrary, fortunately, if not it would be a problem of lack of self-esteem), but it upsets me. I prefer Mr Tsiskaridze's way, and, well, he is just irresistible! lol

  • It isn't pride to know your worth.

  • @danceandsing00 Please do not direct your useless comment at me. I merely made a point that is a very common one. No explanation is needed on my part so 'we can talk' as you so pathetically put it. 'Best Rothbart' ever? He is not amazing, he's a big pansy, conceited and really, if you knew anything about technique... he's not amazing you dumbass.

  • @lapyancantona ??? and who are you??? he is amazing! dance like him and then we can talk. Tsiskaridze is AMAZING!!!!!!!! best rothbart in swan lake ever!!!!

  • The guy/girl is a complete joke and probably the most overated dancer ever.

  • I agree. If one has ever seen a student in class with an unusually good physique for ballet, one can appreciate what he means when he says 'he was always the best in his class'. People like that can do many things with ease that others spend years on. Ask any experienced ballet teacher. I remember Peter Martins writing in his biography that as a child ballet 'came easily to him' and that he started to like it because it was something he could do better than the others around him.

  • Geez! Someone's a little full of himself! I think I understand why he had such a "hard road" to stardom it's called a HUGE ego to go with his beautiful long legs! LOL!
