This woman is part of a well-funded Christian conservative network who has a moral bias against any sort of reproductive medicine. They hide this connection and use fake science to try to make their point of view reasonable.
Listen to the interview and she says "egg donation causes cancer"... and then not a minute later when asked about the percent increase in risk she entirely avoids the question and says "No studies have been done to determine the risk". It can't be both.
If these young women are too dumb to understand what they are doing, then they should quit polluting the human gene pool with their DNA. I do not feel sorry for them. They are adults and nobody is forcing them into this.
@nomorefunds How are you supposed to get informed if there's no monitoring of future health of egg donors. I agree with @scifiwritir, you are the one who sounds uninformed.
@nomorefunds The exploitation of poor women in the fertility industry and the exploitation of the poor in general for organ selling) is well-known. If it's not exploitation, the rich would be donating their eggs as much as the poor. You should check out the research. It's you who are badly informed.
There is no exploitation of women for eggs. The egg donation process is lengthy and requires the donor to give herself injections every day. Unless she is totally willing to donate, she would not do this, or she would do it incorrectly. Its not like women are kidnapped and have their eggs extracted from them. Do some research on this beforehand, because this whole thing sounds uninformed.
