2 Poems - Picasso and Non-Rhyming Poetry

To me, abstract painting is a portrait of the fluidity of the mind of the artist.

Non-rhyming poetry takes out the task of finding rhyming words within our limited languages and allows the writer to be closer to his original thought process.

Just because something does not make sense to you does not mean it should be considered trash. It sounds like you have defined your world to the point of inability to appreciate the chaos that is our thoughts and emotions.

i think you need to get out from school some time and live a little with more love and less thinking just try, because that limited intellectual loop that you create could be hurtful for you, you seem very capable, and maybe is only a phase for you, but it looks like propaganda of hate, this is destructive not fuking genius picazzo, and you cant fix that now

not all modern art is destructive. You just have to know were to look. I agree that it isn't being used for its full potential. But I may suggest underground hip hop for real poetry and story telling. lupe fiasco, mos def, common, are all great examples of today's poets.

Check out some of Picasso's art when he was fourteen years old and you'll see what a fool you're making of yourself.Picasso is not irratonal;he is actually quite systematic for an artist.I'm no fan of Picasso,but it's his technical skill,not his irrational qualities that earn him respect.Your poem is choppy and the rhymes are forced and obvious.You lack technical skill.Here's another clue for you grasshopper;never say "the end" at the end of a poem;we know it's the end when you stop speaking.

Looks like you've got some fans. :) I liked your ideas. I forgave Picasso for his "crap" art because I know he could actually paint (see his blue- and pink-period works), and he seemed to be seeking something new. I don't forgive the people who imitated him rather than coming up with their own new ideas. I have similar feelings regarding those who write non-rhyming poetry and CANNOT write rhyming works. I think a person should have to learn to speak before they start inventing new languages.

The artists you criticize are respected because they thought outside of the box, and tried something that was never done before. How boring would the world be if it was all "Mona Lisas". I agree, some artists (like Rothko) are pretty boring, but if no one ever tried anything new, we would still be in the stone age. You have to give some respect to those who are willing to put this new, and at the time unpopular and controversial, stuff out there.
