  • tbh yeah you should play a carp whatever size until it is ready to be netted,, but you could have netted that a lil earlier, i net 30's quicker than you net this 5lb... but i love stalking the fish from off the top so well done mate.. everyone fishes differently... :-D keep it up tho...

  • I have to say that, A lot of the bigger fish I have landed 25lb plus. I have found a lot easier to net they seem to give up quicker than the smaller ones. I cant see a problem with the amount of time it took to net this fish.

  • lololol we were catching carp and mirror carp all day bagged 30 of them and none of them took as long as this guy to net then

  • whats the hurry in netting a fish mate??? at least this was the fish does not get a silly amount of pressure put on it. thats how there lips get mashed up. So I thing your wrong on what you have said in this comment.

  • wer is it m8 ??

  • bourton apon water

  • yeah he is wrong, rushing carp to the net normally means far to much pressure which in turn rips shit out of their mouths, secondly probably far to strong tackle, thirdly why rush the fight when the fight is the reason for catching int he first place and lastly, a carp that has come in to quick is more lively and likely to bounce about and mis behave on the bank. Hes just a prick. Good video, well landed and super carp ;o). 5 *S.

  • oh dear you dont know how to hold fish

  • @PAULCOD89 cus ur a bell sac you should never net a fish quickly iv fished for carp for 13 yrs and dont use silly tackle like some the heavier line and bigger hooks you use are more likely to damage fish , realy fishing on the top is dangerous to fish but its a fun way to catch them many lakes i go to have banned line above 15lb and hooks above size 12 this is to protect the fish he banned fishing on the top but as he knows me in person he allows me to do so as he knows im carefull.

  • Yeh well played mate, the fight is what its all about. Top carping

I think older fish that have been caught time and time again know if they give up easy the quicker they are back in the water.some of the best most "scary fights" ive had with carp are under 7lb.

I use 8lb main line, and up to 6lb hook length in the summer, using this with the TFG all rounder and a 3 oz tip is amazingtotally scares the crap outa me when i catch a mid figure carp carp though, it seems my rod is made from elastic.great stuff.............., hope u dont mind da comment

  • If you're fishing in hot weather, wich i suppose there doing in this video since it's the best weather for surface angling, it is in one way better to give the fish some stick - that is due to fatigue that the carp can suffer very fast in low-oxygen waters in the summer. If the fish is played too long and his time hooked in the water is extended he will take longer to revive once unhooked and put back into the water.

Well filmed and well played questfish.

  • nice 1 mate

  • That is soooo cool
