  • yeah but when im studying it feels better when i have the hard copy next to me. I cant focus if its a screen where i cant underling or take notes on the page. if they can implement that then it would be great for education textbooks.

  • scroll motion is a company that is digitising books for companies, and they do it so u CAN highlight and i think make comments, if anything apple will add that with a software update iN TIME ! just gonan have to wait, i REALLY WANT THAT FEATURE lol

  • ibook is us only at lauch in all apple site over the world are no links to ibooks

  • no links YET, its all underway, just need to wait, thats all...

  • ...

The UI of the iBook app looks very nice, but you're right Adrian, it isn't original, I think they should be more creative in the future. I also think they should give you multiple ways to view the front covers of the books, maybe even cover flow ? It's just you might not be able to read the text on the front cover when it's on the shelf because the icons are quite small.

  • lol i cant believe i never thought of that ! coverflow with book covers would have made sense !

  • That's a wonderful interface, but try to read two or three hours on a LCD screen and you'll realize than eInk is A LOT better. I agree that´s a more complet device than a kindle DX, but if you only want to read a novel, eInk wins... If you want internet, music, etc and maybe read 5 books a year, then buy an iPad, if you are an avid reader go for eInk...

  • Do you think apple will not allow stanza or the kindle app unto the iPad? That would be a HUGE blow to me. I will buy books on the iBook store, but i don't wanna loose my past books

  • Where is ipad and ibooks? I see only ugly face...

  • that thumbnail of the video is so deceving there was no footage of the actual ipad.

  • 1 word : FANTASTIC !

  • i love the way and structure you presented :)

  • assface

  • they announced that the new iphone4 will have ibook available so that could mean we could get it as a app for our ipods:P

  • as the saviour of the traditional media because Apple owners are usually slightly more wealthy and will buy the books at ridiculous prices, you sound like a butt hurt publisher who didnt get shit for a crappy book, lower prices = more sales thats just obvious, the app store sells millions of 99p apps as compared to the few thousand £4.99 apps.
