As faith in our elected representatives is at an all time low, the Bruges Group invited the broadcasters and columnists Simon Heffer and Peter Hitchens to discuss, alongside Barry Legg at the Conservative Party Conference, the topic of; Are the political parties failing the voters of Britain? This event was reported on Newsnight and in a number of newspapers.

As someone who was unfortunate to go through the secret family kangaroo torture chamber courts, I absolutly agree with Peter Hitchens, on the subject of jury trials. NO-ONE should go through the type of corrupt injustice that the secret family courts are putting ordinary people (not terrorists) through,

@Miggins88 From what I understand Margaret Thatcher realised she made a mistake by doing so.

Er...Margaret Thatcher signed the Single European Act of 1986. She knew what she was doing. The people cheering obviously have the memory span of goldfish.

The tories have to stop being frightened of splits. Anyone who stand up for leaving Europe will gather massive support in the country. The mystery is, why they do not do so.

The Tories only have one road to go down concerning the EU and that is to get us out. Fail and it will be the end of your career because the people are sick of being lied too and railroaded into Europe by politicians that no longer represent our wishes.
As for the Bruges Group. They need to go much more high profile and start gathering the 85% of the British people who do not want further integration and rallying them to stand up and say no.
