@JESUSISGREATEST, Pars or Parsa is a city in Iran, the Greeks that meat with Iranian spies for Cyrus the great were asked by Greeks where are you from they replied from Parsa. Iranians have many different people from tribes that came south. Parthian, Kurd, Pars, Celts, Sarmatian, Scythian, Alan and many others were are of Iranic stock.
If your family from or you were born in Parsa then you can be called Persian other wise no you are Iranian.

@Totalownage123ify, 300 Spartans and over 7500 of others that were Greek, the pass was not stopped by 300 men.

@seanamico Are iranians persians?

@bluemistization ohhhh really? and you got that from a movie? ... and uhh, persians never had any slaves and they didn't attack greece to enslave them. It was just to teach them a lesson for burning our cities like a bunch of barbarians. There is as much truth to this video than there is to 300. Also, we can put star wars to the list too. And u know the cartoon cow & chicken? It was about a real cow & a chicken owned by half-bodied humans. Watch those to learn more history imo.

Persians and Greeks had mutual fear of each other, and respect. They were the most powerful nations of their time, and the most civilized. The Greco-Persian Wars started because the Greek city-states were funding revolutions in the Persian-ruled Ionian (Greek) cities. When asked to stop funding the revolts (by the Persians), the Spartans murdered the messenger sent to appease them.
And, Alexander loved Persians. He even defended Easterners when they were called barbaric by his own men.

what battle do you mean with 7000 greeks vs 10.000 Persians?
aand Alexander id conquer Persia, he made loads of client kingdoms founded a lot of Alexandria's
also he combined the greek and persian culture, and if he didnt conquer it, his successors did, or example the ptolmoi, founded by general Ptolmeus of Alexander lasted untill it was conquered by rome nearly 300 years later, and in that time it was the cultures centrum of the world...

@raananish1, You need to learn history and go back far enough to understand it, you are stuck on the western media history and shows you one part. I honestly dont think you have ever read history enough to know better.

this whole Persian invasion did not change anything and had Persia invaded mainland Greece they would have installed democratic government just like in ionia where Persians and Greek had a senate. after the war Sparta was in alliance with Persia who in te end crushed athens but a few decades later failed to stop the Macedonians due to lack of soldiers in Sparta. now that changes history when Alexander took contol of Greece.
