Yay my new Panasonic FP8 records 720p that actually looks decent. Yeah, so you could say this is a video test, but why do that when you can say "6 Minutes of Turtle Fun!" And FYI macro mode was not used because I forgot it existed.

  • Hey,Thanks for responding Andrew, So it takes about 1 gb of space for every 2minutesin 720p Are u SURE? lol, ok that sucks alotttttttt.because I've been comparing it to Sony w350,which the video quality is very good too,( idont know about the pics)plus u can take about 220pics..in one charge,, but when u use the optical zoom while recording there is a awwfull noise :s..I Also compared it with some Canon cams. they have sweet video and pics quality, however u can take also about 220 pics..and

  • @electroMOMIA Yes, everything else is good about the FP8. It takes so much space recording videos because it records in uncompressed HD. Try Samsung cameras. They have decent quality, ability to use optical zoom (though it makes a lot of noise), an exclusive video encoding technology that takes much less space, and good price.

  • By the way the quality of this video, its perfect for me.. its sharp.. nice colors..nice volum leve.. I really like this videos quality..Hope that at night the camera can record beautifly as well XD., causein some cams at night they dont recods Anything..u cant see a thing, and some are flawlessss XD.Thanks

  • @electroMOMIA Sure I'll try. Also, I bought this camera in large part due to its excellent video quality. I was disappointed though when I found out how much space the 720p video consumes. It uses about half GB for every minute of video, so an 8GB SD card can only hold 16 minutes. If you drop to WVGA you can record 3 times longer.

  • and you cant Use oprtical zoom while recordin., PLUS they are EXPENSIVE.TheCanons specs sheet say u can record about 43min in a 8gb in 720p thats awsome(SuperbVideoQuality) ( I like the Lumix Fp8,because of the nice desing, small, nice pic and video quality,it takes around 380pics in 1 charge(wow), u can use opticalzoom in video, and ive seen it bwtween $100-$130.Ohh well..by the way I like GIMOZODO TOO XD.

  • Hey whats up Andrew,,Nice turtle.< i was wondering if you could make me a favorm since im looking for a Cam, Can you recod a small CLIP with your Fp8 At NIGHT?
