@malador1952 I think your right. I myself am writing a short film script, and it's a salute to LOTSW long history! But it's no way like LOTSW.

@malador1952 I think you might be right. I'm working on a script myself, and it may turn out to be short film, but it's set in Oklahoma county. I'm trying my best to do my salute to Roy Clarke, and all the rest who made Last of the Summer Wine a success! I'm trying not copy any way but do it in a manner to give praise to that show.

@OO7FAN I think you're right. And the show was certainly popular and had a long run--from the very early 70's until 2010 I think.

bill owen was an accomplished lyric writer. try searching for a song he wrote called "so lucky" (in my life). it was sung by an english comedian called freddie (parrot face) davis. the lyrics are very moving, as a tribute to his wife (i think).
R.I.P those of the cast who have departed.

@johnnycomic Thank you for the information. I knew a little about Bill but not much and I had never heard that he was a song writer. He was an amazing comedian.
