yea, I know that feeling about boundries. Even though I am a simple busser right now, I watch our servers (mostly women) just rake in the tips. Usually for being hot -_- but hey, women get things easier than men i guess lol
Good video though, I enjoyed it.

tips are rude i dont get tips for my job no does anyone else if you a waitress bar staff you have to do your job if you hire someone you have to pay them rude to ask for it its not part of your agreement and it your job to service not extra job role it is your job role so do your job and dont exspect extra money for it

@00djSeaweed00 Lousy human beings will be lousy human beings regardless of level of service. Many people however respond better to this attitude.

Best serving strategy; Turn and burn tables as fast as you can, cause only one in six to seven tables will make up for all the lame tips your receive in a work shift... And also find new work, cause serving will steal your soul, and rob your ambitions.

Or the person is hyper religious, and doesn't want to tip you more then they gave to the collection plate? Or the person is in a large party, rallied around someone else, that wants to bring down the servers worth and effort, all in some sort of elitist complex. Or the person paying the bill for the party, that's gets high tab anxiety? Then lets see your good serving tactics get you paid....
What happens when the person your serving is super old and doesn't know the value of the dollar anymore? Or the person is super young and isn't used to paying for there own things, and don't know the appropriate tip portion? Or the person is from a different cultural background and doesn't know that tipping is essential for the servers livelihood? Or the person is overly need and thrifty and would rather save a buck then tip accordingly? Or the person is racist? Or the person is sexist?

@00djSeaweed00 step out of the what if world and just live life. You just have to roll with the punches and understand that some people don't value tipping and amazing service isn't going to change that, but you never know until after they leave. I guess you can look at every situation with an optimistic view or be negative. It's your choice.

I like this mentality, I basically approach it as trying to get along with everyone. I alos try to anticipate the guests needs 100%, yet the job is a mind fuck sometimes.

@damngetthe I've noticed that the slight mental change in how you look at your tables makes a huge difference. Try to lower that wall of separation between you and your customer. I'm a big advocate for making your tables feel as comfortable as possible.
