WARNING: More smug complacency from the financial times.
Notice how banking bonuses are dismissed as "petty" public concerns, how project Merlin remains a speculative project, and how the Tories will not force lending of any sort to small businesses. Reading FT' gives one a good impression of what the banking community thinks of its servile minions - the general public! Clearly the FT has forgotten the cardinal fact that the banks CAUSED THE FINANCIAL CRISIS IN THE FIRST PLACE. They were bailed out by the public - who own a major stake in at least three of them - and yet they refuse to comply with legitimate public demands to substantially reduce their unearned wages! I have replicated this interview in full as I think it reflects the psychology of the banking sector quite well. We must remain vigilant as to the damage this sector has and will cause.
