Abbi Burns supports Spinal Research passionately since her mum Debs had an accident nearly a year and a half ago when she fell out of the loft and damaged her spinal cord. After months of hospitalisation, starting with bed rest and then rehabilitation Debs is now home, however she is wheelchair bound. Abbi tells us Our family had no idea what was involved in the spinal healing process and all the problems associated with a spinal cord injury. We realise that very few people know anything about such injuries and I felt that it is time to raise public awareness
