I'm no fan of Apple, definitely no fan of Steve Jobs, but I believe they bought the GUI from Xerox. Apple didn't invent it, but they didn't steal it. As for when modern personal computing started, I would say mid 1970s. I'm a Bill Gates fan, but I could admit he stole the GUI idea from Apple. Regardless, both Microsoft & Apple started in the mid 1970s. Btw, nice pics! Thanks.
