As I was walking in Plattsburgh NY, the sun was striking the dark clouds over City Hall and the Commodore Thomas MacDonough Monument.
The fast-moving Saranac river is just to the left, where it empties into Lake Champlain

  • I miss Plattsburgh so much.. I grew up there and now live in crappy Florida. Plattsburgh is the perfect little town. Its developed enough to be modern, yet still small enough to be Non-cityish. Best place in the world in my opinion. Would love to move back there. Cold winters and all.

  • Ever since I was young, I have had dreams that seem to often come true. I have friends that I grew up with that were sometimes freaked out by this. Anyway, I had a dream last night about some incredible celestial event that occurs. It is something to do with fire and something from space. Although vague, the feeling in the dream was that, this was a big event. In case something does happen, I wanted to post this so everyone does not think I just made it up after the fact.

  • I was stationed at PAFB from '93 to '95 right up to the time it closed on the heels of LAFB up in Maine. I remember all the hoopla over trying to keep the base open. I still have lifelong AF freinds who retired and are still there. I was up for a visit a few years ago and surprised to see all the nice condos & and new development around the old base. Hope to visit again next summer and go fishing for Champ on the lake and watch the truck pull out at the track.
  • U'r welcome back anytime. Plattsburgh misses you!!!
